Connect From Your Mac

Choose the DealerDevice Labs launcher for the easiest setup, or connect manually with Microsoft Windows App.

EASIEST METHOD

DealerDevice Labs for Mac

Our Mac launcher creates your local DealerDevice folders and opens a preconfigured DealerDevice Online connection through Microsoft Windows App.

  • Creates Customers, Forms and Pictures folders under your Mac DealerDevice folder.
  • Starts DealerDevice in a windowed, dynamically resizable session.
  • Requests clipboard, printer and drive redirection.

DealerDevice Labs is currently unsigned.
On first launch, macOS may block the app. Control-click or right-click DealerDevice Online.app, then choose Open.
ALTERNATE METHOD

Microsoft Windows App

Use Microsoft's Windows App and create the DealerDevice connection manually.

  1. Install Microsoft Windows App from the Mac App Store.
  2. Open Windows App and select Devices.
  3. Select the plus (+) button, then Add PC.
  4. Enter dealerdevice.app as the PC name.
  5. Enter your DealerDevice username and password and save the connection.

DealerDevice Labs First-Time Setup

  1. Install Microsoft Windows App first if it is not already installed.
  2. Download and unzip DealerDevice Labs for Mac.
  3. Control-click or right-click DealerDevice Online.app and choose Open.
  4. The launcher creates ~/DealerDevice/Customers, ~/DealerDevice/Forms, and ~/DealerDevice/Pictures.
  5. In Windows App, open Settings > General.
  6. For folder redirection, choose ~/DealerDevice. This selection only needs to be made once.
  7. Return to DealerDevice Online and connect using your DealerDevice username and password.
